I thought some of you might appreciate this.
I went to the bank today (where I’m known as “The $5 Bill Man”) in one of my uber-annoying counting excursions turning in a couple thousand bucks worth of 10’s, 5’s and 1’s. Three guesses whose pool my teller was filling out when I walked up to the...

Ok, let’s try that with the right winners:
NCAA (190) goes to Johnnie Radcliff
NFL (1,350) Goes to Kim N
I had two other people up there for possibilities BUT… Arizona did not win. (I’m sorry if you had false hopes, Dan! Someone asked me for possibilities as I was walking out the door and I pasted in...

Hey everyone, Todd here getting some practice on taking care of business while Steve is away. How did I get so lucky! Oh wait, I remember, I opened my big mouth and volunteered to help this season not knowing the douche-nozzle was leaving three different weeks. Oh well, I’m suckered in now. For next weeks...

If it sucks, blame Todd. If it’s awesome… nah, it won’t be awesome (unless you win). Pot is $190.

Thank you to Kim at Waterway! While my Bills are being demolished in heart-breaking fashion on Monday night, most of my friends give me crap. Kim gives me a “Go Bills!” on her sheet along with a Buffalo Bills pen/light! I’ll be using it tomorrow to keep track of all my bets! Thank you, Kim! ...

Yes, the NCAA pool came down to the back-and-forth Hawaii vs. UNLV game and it ended at 2:18am, Eastern Time. Congratulations to Al White for taking down the pot of 205. (Sorry, Amber Lindsay… so close!) Call me tomorrow if you’d like to come by for your winnings, Al. If not, I’ll get a hold...

Pot is 205… again. Yes, back-to-back weeks of 41 entries for the college version. Spreadsheet is posted to the left.
HUGE props to Todd for coming over and helping get this thing situated. He’ll also be the one running this entire thing while I’m out of town, but I’ll get into that more in depth after...

(It’s not like we have an old mascot to replace, but don’t sweat those petty details) I have narrowed this down to the three finalists shown here:
Vote for your favorite through the comment function and don’t forget to give him/her/it a name. You know damn well which one of these I want, BUT… I am...

…and that field goal does it! Congratulations to Monte (and Schumacher for getting their first win in over a year!)
New pick sheets and templates to the left for both the NCAA (due Friday) and NFL (due Saturday).
Good job by everyone this week! Great pools, great games, great weekend (and screw the Patriots, of course). I’ll...

I cannot believe my Bills snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. Now that I have gone around and picked up the crap I threw around the house during the fourth quarter, I can say that we had 49 points in the first game. Barring a defensive struggle, things look good for Monte!
NCAA pick sheets...

200 entered, 2 remain. The funny part is the winner of the games tonight does not even matter!
With two people going a perfect 14-0 so far and with barely anyone picking Buffalo or Oakland, even if these two lost both the games tonight they will still be tied for the lead and go to points. ...

I just got home and I am catching up on the highlights from today; looked like it was a hell of a Saturday! I also typed in the winners in the spreadsheet and I saw I was doing pretty damn well. Quite I few of us were doing pretty damn well, actually - 6 of...

(NCAA post is directly below, but I did want to have some fun with the NFL pool)
With 21 people picking Tennessee in the first game that has gone final, it was easy enough for me to glance through and see if anyone was eliminated based on just that one game. So, 21 times, I copied...

Pot is 205, down slightly from last week but hey - NFL is huge, NCAA will be more manageable. Now both the NFL and NCAA spreadsheets are posted to the left.
This will be a quick post because I have to crash out here since we’re up in the morning to shoot a wedding. Also, I...

Pot is exactly 1,000. Spreadsheet is posted to the left. Good job on everyone’s part getting them to me, especially those who got them here nice and early.
Two years ago we set a Week 1 record with 940 so we’ve already set a new record, albeit just for a Week 1. 200 entries with a...

Hey guys,
I heard some of you wanted the exact times of the games on the sheet in addition to the previous chronological order so it’s all updated to the left! This also lets me see who was really on the ball and printed out the first copy already (the games and the order did not...

The Monday night game does not matter (and therefore neither do the points). R,S&E are the winners for Week 0 pulling in the first pot totaling 250. I have no idea what those letters stand for, but I’m sure I’ll figure it out when I call them tomorrow afternoon.
The new Week 1 NCAA pool pick...

It’s nice to see it’s not even Week 1 (Welcome to Week 0!) and we’ve already hit two minor issues, both of which have been taken care of already.

There were nine college football games tonight, and they somehow featured SIX safeties! Utah and Kent State scored two each! How many times do you see two safeties in a game, especially by the same team? I know the Bills had two in a game against the Texans a few years back and I watched...
